Low Carb Fruits can round off your meal if you watch the carb / fiber numbers. Look at the total carbs, subtract the fiber and that equals your net carbs.

Which fresh fruits work best for a low carb diet?
  • blackberries
  • strawberries
  • blueberries
  • raspberries
  • cranberries
  • plums
  • watermelon
  • cantaloupe
  • peaches
  • kiwi
  • avocados
  • lemons
  • limes
  • coconut

It’s important to keep in mind that not all low-carb diets are the same. There is no clear definition of exactly what constitutes a low-carb diet. Once you determine how many carbs you choose to eat will clarify how much fruit you should consume. Eating Keto? Then no more than 50mg of carbs for the whole day. Eating low-carb? You can have more, but watch which fruit your choose and how much. Your carb intake also depends on your fitness goals, activity, and personal preference.
I, personally, try to stay under 75mg of carbs daily and if I want fruit after dinner, I want to be sure I've been active enough to handle it.
Instead of spending the entire carb budget on 1 or 2 pieces of fruit, it would be better spent eating plenty of low-carb vegetables, which are much more nutritious, calorie for calorie.

Plus, it's important to eat the whole raw fruit. Cooking lessens the nutrients.

My journey with food has been just that ... a journey. Until recently, I struggled with binge eating though not to any extremes short of annoying myself, but as I approached my seventies I realized my belly was telling me something. I was diagnosed with IBS years ago but when I removed some stresses from my life it went away. Stress is not my friend. Learning to manage it - or in some cases removing it - has made the biggest difference.

My website/blog is all about me and my journey - it's not always consistent as I do what I do when I want to do it, but you should find something to help you in your journey.

There are hundreds of websites and blogs out there to help you find your path to good health and fitness.
