Don't give me credit ...

Today after my yoga class two women commented they wished they were more like me. They were referring to my devotion to my yoga practice, but what they may not realize is the days they missed, I may have missed as well. And yet, I have my journey. I had to learn to put myself on my own calendar!

While I am pretty devoted to my yoga practice at Timberly's Yoga Studio, I do miss some days - sometimes for a good reason sometimes not.

What everyone needs to know is that I am not perfect by any means. I skip workouts, I make bad food choices (or too much of a good thing, too), and I can Netflix binge in a heartbeat. I don't read as much I would like to, I don't walk everyday, and I still hear the voices of my childhood that make me feel like less of a person.

Let's stop trying to be the best version of someone else and be ourselves. We are all special in our own way.

Now is a good time to put yourself on your own calendar. You're worth it!

My journey with food has been just that ... a journey. Until recently, I struggled with binge eating though not to any extremes short of annoying myself, but as I approached my seventies I realized my belly was telling me something. I was diagnosed with IBS years ago but when I removed some stresses from my life it went away. Stress is not my friend. Learning to manage it - or in some cases removing it - has made the biggest difference.

My website/blog is all about me and my journey - it's not always consistent as I do what I do when I want to do it, but you should find something to help you in your journey.

There are hundreds of websites and blogs out there to help you find your path to good health and fitness.
