True to his own self, Eric is often self-entertaining, though with a bit more creativity than in his toddler "moments." Just tonight, Luna was being her old-lady self curled up in her bed on their couch. Eric has learned when she is there his playfulness needs to move on. That is Luna's quiet place. He learned quickly, but without Luna to keep him busy, he is left to his own devices.
Tonight, Tom Wyse and I were busy being human couch potatoes in the living room when Eric galloped through the dining room like he’d just won the Kentucky Derby. He looked suspiciously proud of himself. He plopped his 100# self onto his bed to guard his "treasure," and since he didn't look like he was chewing on a live grenade, we just watched him. My curiosity finally won out—mostly because he was acting like he’d found the Hope Diamond. Turns out, he went "shopping" in the garden and brought in a freshly harvested baby carrot.

AuthorI've always been an animal lover and typically rescue for local shelters or rehome a stray. Recently, we found ourselves committing to an Irish Wolfhound puppy. We have rescued two adult Wolfhounds in the past ... really wanted the puppy experience! Eric has not let us down! Archives
