Back to work. I love what I do and enjoy going to work. Part-time is lovely and actually being able to work with minimal expectations. It's all up to me. Everyone should be able to work like I do. I am extremely lucky!
I needed stamps today and Tom and Aidan went to the post office to get them ... how wonderful I didn't have to go! I'm glad Aidan is 15 and has his driver permit and loves to chauffer us around! Anyway, when I returned home from work, I saw the stamps on my desk. I love that I still use my father's stamp roll holder ... brass ... old ... Dad's. Score!
Thanksgiving, Christmas, and my birthday are behind us now. Whew! Exhausted. A quiet day filled with wonderfully corny Hallmark Christmas movies, homemade split pea soup with ham and an early bedtime. Perfect.
I am seventy years young today and this as my personal journey toward being grateful. Things these days irritate me but I don't want to focus on those irritations. It's exhausting. Beginning right now, I intend to do a blog post for one full year (and maybe beyond) about something for which I am grateful each day.
