It's September 20 and we've been off grid since the end of August and enjoying a rare need of returning to the grid. And, yet, our August 11 - Sept 11 bill is $124. Granted, we were on the grid for about 2 weeks so maybe it would have been better had it been a full month off the grid. Or, had we 'left it alone' and let it 'learn' ... oh, wait, that didn't work at all ...bill was much higher. What happened to the salesman's pitch that our bill would be around $60/monthly. Now, we have an appointment with someone from our solar company on or near October 1 ... yep, fingers crossed.

I've been in contact with the solar company, and they've given me some troubleshooting tips, but none have made a significant difference. I'm starting to wonder if the problem is with the panels themselves or if the installation was faulty. Regardless of the cause, I'm disappointed with the results so far. I hope to find a solution soon so I can finally reap the benefits of my investment. A couple things I've learned along the way:
