We moved in with my Grandmother (your Grandmother's Mother, Constance (Connie) Wahlstrom Cross in June of 1980. She had suffered a heart attack and the family had two choices - put Grandma in a nursing home or someone had to live with her until she recovered. Your father and I decided it best to move in with her to save money to move to Florida. It was a win-win. I could take Grandma shopping and to her doctor's appointments and we could save money to move. Great-Grandma bungalow house had a full basement and full upstairs so we decided it best for her to have the main part of the house rather than tackling steps.
Your father, Sarah, and I lived upstairs and in the basement which was great for you kids! We set up a play area which included two swings, a laundry area, workshop area, and a large play area. The upstairs was a great space, too. We even managed to get our waterbed up there! And, you loved the waterbed!
