These pictures are from the Mid to Late 1980s which includes some of Naples Park. You were five to ten years old and very funny. You handled your food allergies like an adult which was absolutely amazing. Story ... you loved Chinese food and we went to a local restaurant. Of course, egg rolls was your first choice. When they arrived you pushed the plate away. Why? Because you didn't feel comfortable. You smelled peanut butter. I learned very early to never challenge you but did ask the waitress about it ... and YES! they use peanut butter to hold the vegetables in the egg roll wrapper. Score one for the kid! We left that restaurant.
Your favorite foods included millet bread which you took to McDonald's and asked them for a burger with no bun. The cashier always looked at me weird and I just nodded. He knows what he wants.
You also loved Bugle and Frito-Lay bean dip ... no other brand would do. And, of course, Cheerios with apple juice, which I'm sure you still eat today! Other favorites were Knox Blox, almond-crusted pumpkin pie using Knox gelatin and no dairy or eggs. Honestly, we all liked pumpkin pie that way!
As the years went on your interests expanded to include Karate. I recall you going as high as a green belt, but then wanted to do Cub Scouts. You scout leader was Steve Something and he was a woodworker. He is the one responsible for the little stool you received for Christmas (2020). You and his son, Seth, were friends.
