Our West Lot
At the end of June we purchased the partial lot next door to us. It was overgrown and heavily wooded laced with wisteria and Ivy vines. Tom did his best to clear the lot and quickly realized he was fighting a losing battle. Enter the 'big guns' to bear down and clear what had turned out to be a nightmare. Even the contractor got his equipment stuck in the mud - twice. The tree guys downed a couple of dead or just plain ugly trees and trimmed up a few more ... the fence contractor ran 150' of chain link down the west side and later finished the rear fence. We still have the front fence to complete. We had to contact the city to correct a drainage problem. Tom built a stockade fence reducing the current 6' fence to a 4' one to go across the front of the lot. He also built a bridge to cross the drainage ditch wide enough for his 42" Zero Turn. The chain link between our old and new lot will come down once we see how the dogs behave. We have a fire pit in the middle of the lot that promises to be perfect spot to visit with friends and family. There is still much to do including a longevity trail to keep up healthy and fit. Eventually, we will have a swing! So much more to do!
