There's a lot of information about opening your hip flexors. I always blamed my tight hamstrings for my lack of flexibility, but working on my hip flexors has helped! Below is a 15-minute yoga flow just for your hip flexors I found on YouTube.
It was nearly bedtime. I'd already fallen asleep three times on the couch and knew it was time to call it a day. Even though it isn't quite my bedtime, my body and my mind had other plans. Off to bed. Yep, there I lie waiting for sleep to come. My mind is racing and it seems pointless to stay in bed. But I try again ... and again ... and again until my mind surrenders to my body's need to sleep. But as submissive as my body feels my mind awakens with thoughts of the day, tomorrow, whatever ... it just doesn't quit. Because I love yoga and practice often I will readily admit I am a chronic beginner - and even though it's relaxing doing it at bedtime seems to energize me ... then I found Bedtime Yoga! If you have trouble turning your mind off at bedtime, you might want to give this a try. And, you don't have to be a yoga master to do it either!
