Beep, Ding, Squeak

Have you even listened? I mean, really listened? Some days I feel overwhelmed by the noises around me. Some days I don't even notice. Today, I noticed.

Beep - the oven has reached it intended temperature
Swish - the dishwasher is working
Ding - text message
Dong - husband's text message
Jingle - email here
Ring - oven says the ribs are done
Honk - neighbor's ride has arrives
Hmmm - the hum of my computer
Alexa is reminded me of an upcoming delivery
Buzz - clothes are dry
ZAP - a bug landed on the bulb in my pole lamp
Squeak - my desk chair need a squirt of oil
Do-de-do, do-de-do ... Alexa says my timer has ended

Repeat ... all day long.
