Beep, Ding, Squeak

Have you even listened? I mean, really listened? Some days I feel overwhelmed by the noises around me. Some days I don't even notice. Today, I noticed.

• Beep - the oven has reached it intended temperature
• Swish - the dishwasher is working
• Ding - text message
• Dong - husband's text message
• Jingle - email here
• Ring - oven says the ribs are done
• Honk - neighbor's ride has arrives
• Hmmm - the hum of my computer
• Alexa is reminded me of an upcoming delivery
• Buzz - clothes are dry
• ZAP - a bug landed on the bulb in my pole lamp
• Squeak - my desk chair need a squirt of oil
• Do-de-do, do-de-do ... Alexa says my timer has ended

Repeat ... all day long.
